This federally designated historic and low-income neighborhood had experienced decades of disinvestment and blight. Broadway Square involved rehabilitating nine historic buildings across two blocks to create market-rate and affordable workforce housing as well as retail/office space. CDF’s New Markets Tax Credits helped change the trajectory of the neighborhood, which is experiencing rapid revitalization.
